Local Area
Puchong Jaya
Puchong
Puchong is roughly 27km away from Kuala Lumpur city centre. Unlike other developing townships, the advantage of living here is its strategic location. It’s smack-bang between other Klang Valley cities and towns such as Subang Jaya, Bandar Sunway, Sri Petaling, Bukit Jalil, Seri Kembangan, Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, and both KLIA airports.
It’s because of its location that this area is connected to several key highways as well. These include the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) that crosses through the entire of Puchong, Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS), New Pantai Expressway (NPE), Maju Expressway (MEX), North-South Expressway Central Link, South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE), and the Federal Highway.
Subang
Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur, or better known as KL, is a bustling metropolis and Malaysia’s largest city. KL itself is a melting pot of culture and is richly interwoven with history where the new blends in with the old. Amidst a backdrop of glittering lights, skyscrapers, luxury hotels, modern office towers and malls, one is still able to find insistent reminders of the old KL – be it remnants of the 19th century migrants or from the British colonials.
This in itself – the unhesitant leap into a progressing modern future while still retaining a rich history and cultural diversity – makes KL a very interesting city to explore. Shop to your heart’s content at luxury malls such as KLCC, Pavilion, Lot 10, Star Hill Gallery and more, or spend a day haggling prices and buying trinkets at Chinatown in Petaling Street or Little India in Masjid Jamek. Enjoy a breath-taking view of the city from the observation deck of the KL Tower, or pack a picnic for a day out at the Lake Gardens or KL Bird Park. Take a stroll at the 1910 Moorish-inspired Old Railway Station, or visit the city’s many interesting museums, such as the National Museum and the Islamic Arts Museum. Mosques, temples and churches are dotted all around the city.
Being a melting pot of varying cultures and races also means that the city offers a rather interesting and colourful dining experience. Malaysians are serious food enthusiasts, so whether it’s at a swanky restaurant or a local street stall, for breakfast or even the odd-hour supper, the dining experience will not disappoint and leave you wanting.
